Modo de Uso: trabaja con el software de PICKIT2 (v2.61) o también con MPLAB IDE plataforma de desarrollo de software, y uso similar con ICD2. Este grabador no necesita ningún driver a instalar en la PC, solo lo conectas y esta listo para usar, trabaja sin problemas sobre Windows XP, Windows Vista y Windows 7 (32 y 64bits). La interfaz de programación para conectar el PICKIT2 a un ordenador es a través de USB, la fuente de alimentación para programar es por medio del USB, pueden ser actualizados con el firmware de PICkit2 a través del ICSP.
